Coach Xabi Alonso spoke of "a magic moment" as Leverkusen cut the gap on leaders Bayern to six points from an 88th-minute equalizer through an Angelo Stiller own goal and Patrik Schick's winner four minutes into stoppage time on Sunday night.

Bayern Munich failed to win for a second consecutive Bundesliga game as they were held to a draw at Union Berlin. After toiling for 75 minutes, Bayern appeared to have found the win to move them 11 points clear at the top through Leroy Sane.

A moment of uncertainty from goalkeeper Jonas Urbig allowed Benedict Hollerbach to score a late goal as Union Berlin secured a 1-1 home draw on Saturday with Bayern Munich, who still extended their lead atop the Bundesliga standings to nine points.
