Britain’s King Charles and Queen Camilla are set to visit Pope Francis during their trip to Italy and the Vatican in April despite the pontiff’s ill-health following his hospitalization around a month ago.

King Charles III is scheduled to have an audience with Pope Francis during a state visit next month to the Vatican, suggesting the Holy See is optimistic the pontiff will be back at work by then.

Charles and Camilla—who tied the knot on April 9, 2005—are reportedly comfortable with alone time. Ingrid Seward, the editor-in-chief of Majesty magazine, revealed to The Sun 's Fabulous, "They actually spend quite a lot of time apart." She continued, "Ray Mill House [in Wiltshire] is Camilla's sort of release from royal life, if you like."
