報道によれば、両社の幹部はインテルの製造工場を運営する合弁事業を設立することで暫定合意に達した。ジ・インフォメーションはこの計画に詳しい関係者の話として、インテルや他の米半導体メーカーが合弁の過半数株式を取得する見通しだと伝えている。

アメリカ政府もこの状況を打破するために動いており、台湾の大手半導体製造企業のTSMCに対して、Intelと取引を行うように圧力をかけていたとのこと。TSMCは2025年3月に、Intelのファブを運営する合弁会社に対して出資するよう、NVIDIAやAMD、Broadcomに声をかけていたと報じられています。
