The Cram fire has spread to 95,000 acres, just shy of the 100,000 acres that would class it as the country's first megafire this year.

The fire, which broke out on July 13, exploded in size over recent days due to hot and dry conditions and gusty winds in parts of the state.

A wildfire in Central Oregon quickly grew over the weekend to become the nation's largest so far this year after burning over 95,000 acres.
