An initial assessment by the agency in June indicated strikes against Iran’s nuclear facilities had a more limited effect than President Trump said.

The Pentagon fired its intelligence agency chief and two other senior military officers after a leaked report into US strikes on Iran's nuclear facilities.

The move comes weeks after the agency drafted a preliminary report contradicting President Trump’s contention that U.S. strikes had “obliterated” nuclear sites in Iran.
