Brad Gilbert caught criticism on social media after apparently engaging with Iga Swiatek's harasser on X. Over the weekend, Gilbert - who coached Coco Gauff for a year between 2023 and 2024 - appeared to question why the Cincinnati Open organizers were granting all of Swiatek's requests to have her matches scheduled early.

Swiatek then explained: "That's not possible because when your agent asked my agent, I think, or you asked me, I had no idea what I'm signing up for. I was like, 'Yeah okay, I want to play with Casper.' But I didn't know what the tournament is going to look like so it must've been you."

The revamped US Open mixed doubles started yesterday at Flushing Meadows, with 16 pairs vieing for a chance to claim the title and $1 million winning cheque.
