A new leak alleges that plans are in place to bring back the Hemi V-8 to the regular Ram 1500 lineup, and it seems those plans include a brand-new TRX truck with even more power than before.

Ram is putting the Hemi V8 engine back in its light-duty pickup trucks, part of a blitz of changes from brand head Tim Kuniskis to claw back lost share in the hyper-competitive U.S. truck market.

It's worth noting at this point that, while the Hemi is back, the Hurricane is still very much the RAM 1500's primary powerplant of choice – the 5.7-liter V8 is just making a comeback alongside it.
