While Brad Holmes had previously indicated the Detroit Lions would be open to a reunion with Za'Darius Smith, there have no recent discussions between the organization and his agent.

The move comes after South Africa's ambassador to the U.S. was expelled last month by the Trump Administration.

"Za'Darius Smith is one of the top edge-rushers still available and would be an immediate contributor in Indy," wrote Knox.
