The Columbus Blue Jackets know where they are picking in the first round of the 2025 NHL Draft after the draft lottery set the order.

New York Islanders hold first overall pick and San Jose will select second overall following tonight’s NHL Draft Lottery

The order has been determined for the lottery picks in the 2025 NHL Draft, and teams that did not make the playoffs know where they will be picking. The Columbus Blue Jackets, who possess the 14th overall pick (as well as the Minnesota Wild’s first round pick) have a great opportunity ahead of them.

Penguins GM Kyle Dubas is in a position to start filling up the prospect pool with possibly 11 picks in the 2025 draft including potentially having back-to-back first-round picks if the Rangers decide to give it up as part of the J.T. Miller trade.

The process to determine the No. 1 pick in the NHL Draft will be televised live in the United States and Canada. The NHL announced on Friday that a live drawing of lottery balls will take place on Monday night at the NHL Network studios in Secaucus, N.J.
