On Monday at 3:04 p.m. the NWS Newport/Morehead City NC released an updated flood watch in effect until Tuesday at 2 p.m. The watch is for Inland Onslow and Coastal Onslow as well as Greene, Duplin, Lenoir and Jones counties.

An updated flood watch was issued by the NWS Blacksburg VA on Tuesday at 4:32 p.m. in effect until 8 p.m. The watch is for Ashe, Alleghany, Surry, Watauga, Wilkes and Yadkin counties.

The third week of May is soggy around the Piedmont Triad, Foothills, and High Country. Warm highs, periods of sunshine, and then isolated severe storms are possible this Tuesday in Winston-Salem, High Point and Greensboro.
