Alexander Mogilny’s long wait for the Hockey Hall of Fame is over, as the high-scoring Russian winger was selected as part of the eight-member class of 2025.

Alexander Mogilny, whose defection from the Soviet Union and subsequent record-setting tenure with the Buffalo Sabres made him a trailblazer for Russian players in the NHL, has been selected to the Hockey Hall of Fame as a member of its Class of 2025.

The Hockey Hall of Fame announced its Class of 2025, which includes first-year eligible players Zdeno Chara, a former captain of the Boston Bruins, Joe Thornton, Duncan Keith, and the end of a lengthy wait for former NHL star forward Alexander Mogilny.
