Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez's June wedding is going to be an expensive affair. With 200 A-list guests expected to descend upon Venice, Italy for a three-day event, rumors about where the ceremony would take place started to make their way around the internet.

An Italian city will play host to the wedding of Amazon billionaire Jeff Bezos and his fiancée. Venice city officials confirmed that the couple will wed later this year, and it will be able to host all of those invited.

Jeff Bezos and fiancée Lauren Sanchez are set to have a wedding ceremony in Venice despite local concerns over the scale of the celebrations.

The city said only 200 guests would be invited, a number easily accommodated without any disruption to the city, its residents and visitors.

"The many speculations and fake news circulating about Jeff Bezos' wedding are completely unfounded," the city of Venice said in a statement.
