The body of Muhammad Sinwar, the de facto commander of Hamas, was reportedly found in a tunnel in Gaza after the terror leader was targeted by Israeli forces last week. According to the Saudi channel Al-Hadath, the body of Sinwar was located in a tunnel in Khan Younis alongside the bodies of 10 of his aides.

Muhammad Sinwar was born in Khan Younis in 1975. He is the younger brother of Yahya Sinwar, who masterminded the Hamas-led attacks on Israel that started the war in Gaza in October 2023 and in whose footsteps Muhammad Sinwar followed for much of his life.
