In a tragic turn of events, Air India flight AI171 - en route from Ahmedabad to London Gatwick - crashed on June 12, shortly after takeoff, marking one of the deadliest aviation disasters in Indian history.

In the aftermath of the devastating Air India crash in Ahmedabad, authorities have identified 163 of the 270 victims through DNA matching. The crash resulted in 242 in-flight fatalities and 29 ground deaths.

Vishwashkumar, who was sitting in seat 11a on the Air India flight, is receiving treatment at Ahmedabad’s Civil Hospital, where he has been visited by India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who also attended the bedside of locals who were not onboard the plane but were struck and injured by the crash.
