Just days after Jeremy Matlow officially announced he was running for mayor, three candidates have filed for his non-partisan commission seat.

On Friday, Thomasville and Brooks County kick off the football season with their sixth-straight “War on 84” clash, WCTV’s game of the week.

The August heat will stick around for the weekend with scattered showers and storms during the peak heating of the day.
