Kentucky State Police officials have identified the trooper who was shot during a string of shootings that left two people dead in Lexington July 13.

A young boy disappeared in Kentucky early Tuesday, prompting a statewide alert, and was found dead hours later. A preliminary autopsy showed that 5-year-old Silas Chearer died from drowning. No foul play is suspected and no other details about his death have been released.
