Manchester United have failed with a new bid to sign Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo, who is reported to have confirmed to all clubs involved in the transfer saga, including Tottenham Hotspur, of his continued desire to move to Old Trafford.

Manchester United's interest in Bryan Mbeumo had been confirmed prior to Frank's arrival at Spurs. There was no real sense that United would find themselves in a battle to sign Mbeumo should they agree upon a fee with Brentford, but Frank's move to a Champions League club threatened to derail United's plans.

Brentford rejected Manchester United’s second bid for Cameroon international Bryan Mbeumo. According to The Athletic, the improved bid was worth £62.5m, which is the same figure the Red Devils paid for Matheus Cunha.
